Raising Highly Capable Kids – Revised Curriculum
Article Published: August 3, 2017
The Santa Ana Parent Project in partnership with the Santa Ana Unified School District is excited to begin the Raising Highly Capable Kids classes for the 2017-2018 school year. Last year 48 Parent Leaders participated in 32 Santa Ana schools. More than 3,000 volunteer hours, were given by our Parent Leaders impacting 523 parents and over 2,500 children. The 32 schools currently participating in the Raising Highly Capable Kids classes are helping parents give their children a fighting chance to combat the negative influences that inundate them on a daily basis. The 13-week, bilingual, evidence-based program helps parents raise healthy, caring, and responsible children. This year our Raising Highly Capable Kids curriculum has been revised, and all current and new parent leaders must participate in a mandatory four-hour training on August 28, 2017.
